Dont mean to dampen your spirits, happy for the poster of this thread. Could have been lucky to get approved while people like me ( Sep 2003) PD waiting 485 filed 3 yrs ago.

Go back and look at the forum postings. There are much more amenable and practical suggestions made. This PD thing doesn't pass the basic test: was there a precedence or prior history, can it be done and does it lessen the time for one to apply for I-485 and GC. Does it reduce backlog?
PD as the date of < insert whatever> doesn't pass this basic test.
I have to respectfully disagree with you on that...just because it was never brought up doesn't mean it should never be taken up. I think you core members know better...if this does not sound practial...End of discussion.

Hello everyone,
This is what I have done today. Called up BOTH my Senators and My local Congressperson. First asked them the name of the Person in-charge of immigration. Then Faxed him/her a ONE page description of what has happened and Urged them to take action.
Please do the same with your local Lawmakers. I believe that if Enough people call and fax them, they WILL do something eventually. It's a NUMBERS GAME and only if enough people contact them will they budge.
Please contact your lawmakers with a Nicely typed letter explaining your current situation and what the USCIS has done.

Fedup is an understatement. Zero accountability. After moving dates to 2006 now dates go back to 2003????????? Last year it started with date being at Apr 2004 and this year starts with Apr 2003????? This is beyond ridiculous!!!aaaaaaarrrghhhhhhhhhh.
P.S Its wrong to tell that guys with MS are getting their GC's before others. I have one and so do many others I know. There is no order guys...........

Today I completed 10 years in USA and still waiting for GC, PD Dec. 2004 EB3...:confused:

Unfortunately, we will never know the daily or weekly details. If you see three bills introduced in a year like you saw last year, then it is the result of lobbying effort. IV core has periodic meetings with lobbying firm and all your money goes into that. Plus several trips to DC by IV leadership, to represent YOU and ME.

thanks! thats encouraging..they already gave us a conditional approval last week asking for some documents, which I sent immediately. They didn't even open my documents for a week, and then the underwriter came back asking for some more things including this I94..these people are crazy! Today's my deadline and i still haven't heard anything

Your PD in EB3 for ROW will be back into track in October 2008 as its said in the current visa bulletin dated Jul 2008 for EB3 preference. So once it is back to current in October then the new visa numbers will be alloted. Then you will get your GC. So just wait till October to receive your GC confirmation.

SO IF they move PD's to 2006 dec then there is aposibility that all 2006 pd 's get GC's before @001 pd's.:mad:

How about people are using it as a loop hole and smack you down. Just because you have the option, it does not mean the right thing.
It is not the right thing -- from your perspective, because you can't take advantage of it. From the USA point of view multinational executives can potentially create jobs and that's why they must be allowed

Mass porting to EB2 category is the only option. I think most people with old EB3 PD can easily do it. I was reluctant initially but since there is no light at the end of the tunnel, why not take a chance while PD porting is still available. Dont get discouraged by people advising against it, since there is no hope for EB3 anyways.

I would suggest, if we have 4-5 people per day for 31 days do the hunger strike. This will have a greater impact than just 1 day of hunger strike. The day should be strategized to match with the opening of the Congress session in 2007.
